Dr. James “Michael” Alberto Bell is a dermatologist who provides medical, surgical, and cosmetic care for patients of all ages. He completed his dermatology residency at Howard University, where he served as Chief Resident, with training across Howard University Hospital, the DC VA Medical Center, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and Children’s National Hospital.

Dr. Bell is passionate about helping people feel confident in their skin through personalized, evidence-based care. He is known for his warm and approachable style, and he takes time to truly listen to his patients and create treatment plans that fit their individual needs.

He earned his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine after completing his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Southern California. He has authored multiple medical articles and textbook chapters and enjoys mentoring learners at every stage of training.

Dr. Bell cares deeply about the communities he serves and is excited to bring his expertise to patients in Washington, DC. Outside of clinic, he enjoys playing volleyball, practicing yoga, and cooking Filipino food.
